The Garden Club of Evanston and the Garden Guild of Winnetka are proud to present “It’s Elemental! Air, Earth, Fire, Water.” This Flower Show, sanctioned by the Garden Club of America (GCA), will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Evanston on May 16-18, 2023, with free public access on May 18th, from 10:00am until 2:00pm.

Our two clubs collaborated to create an exciting schedule featuring horticulture, floral design and photography categories. Members from the two clubs who register before the April 3 deadline can choose from five floral design classes; those who register before the March 1 deadline may submit in one of six photography classes, all with themes reflective of the earth’s four elements. Horticulture classes include a wide variety of garden cuts, kokedama, pot-et-fleur and succulent creations. The Flower Show will present an educational exhibit developed in conjunction with Evanston Grows. The exhibit will include a garden demonstration and will highlight the importance of community food gardens in addressing local food insecurity issues and strengthening neighborhood bonds.
